About the event

When it comes to career development, international students have specific needs and experience unique challenges. Many aspire to gain professional work experience in the U.S. but don't have the same freedom to do so as their domestic peers. How do we as career practitioners support them through their career journey in the U.S. and beyond? Come learn about best practices for supporting international student job seekers.

About the Presenter: Erica Ford

Ms. Erica Ford is a former academic and international student advisor turned career coach. Her Mission: Support international students’ pursuit of professional opportunities comparable to their peers in the U.S., to the extent that their immigration status permits. Erica currently serves as an International Career Development Coach at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Her passion for supporting this student population inspires her plans of launching a private career coaching practice focused on serving international talent. Erica holds a Masters in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, a Certificate in Immigration Law from Cornell University, and has 10 years of Higher Education advising experience.

The Lunch & Learn is generously sponsored by the Graham Office of Career Management, University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business & Economics. We are grateful for their support & planning!
