About the event
Lunch and Learn will be presented by representatives of the Gregory S. Fehribach Center at Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis. The Frehribach Center is a leading organization in policy, research, and education on issues pertaining to equitable employment for those with physical disabilities. Additionally, the center runs a summer internship program for college students with disabilities.
Colleges are graduating an increasing number of individuals with physical disabilities, and these graduates are seeking employment in fields related to their degrees. This presentation will describe barriers that college graduates with physical disabilities experience as they prepare to enter the workforce and provide examples of ways attendees can champion successful employment outcomes for college graduates with physical disabilities. Finally, the presenters will lead a discussion of ways to create an inclusive environment for all employees focusing on why disability should be considered in the DEI effort.
